Six signs your site needs rebuilding
Not every dated website needs replacing — sometimes a faster host is enough, and we will say so. But if you recognise three or more of these, a rebuild will pay for itself.
It does not work on a phone
You zoom in to read it, buttons are too small to tap and the contact form is unusable. On most small business sites, more than half of visitors are on a phone. This alone loses you enquiries every week.
It loads slowly
More than about three seconds and a large share of visitors leave before seeing anything. Slow sites are usually built on budget shared hosting with a page builder stacked on top.
You cannot edit it
Every text change means an email and an invoice. Over a year that is both expensive and a reason to stop updating the site at all — which is worse than the cost.

How a redesign runs
Five steps, with the migration planning done before a single line of the new site is written.

Audit what you have
We look at your current site, its traffic, the pages that rank and the ones that do not. That tells us what to keep and what to throw away.

Plan the migration
Every URL is mapped, and every page that moves gets a 301 redirect. This is the step that protects your rankings, and it is the one cheap redesigns skip.
- 03Week 1–2
Rebuild
New design and build on Astro and Cloudflare, using your existing content as the starting point rather than a blank page.
- 04Launch day
Switch over
The old site stays live until the new one is ready. We launch, submit the new sitemap, and watch Search Console for anything unexpected.

Watch the rankings
We check in after two and four weeks. If anything has slipped, we fix it — that is included, not billed as an extra.

How much does a website redesign cost?
From us, a redesign costs the same as a new build — £100 for a single page, £300 for up to five, £600 for a full site with AI and a backend. It is occasionally a little more than building fresh, because we spend time studying the existing site and preserving the search rankings it has earned. In the wider UK market, redesign quotes typically run £800–£5,000.
Will I lose my Google rankings if I redesign my site?
Not if it is done properly, and this is the main technical risk in any redesign. We keep your URL structure intact wherever possible, set up 301 redirects for every page that moves, preserve your page titles and headings where they are working, and keep your existing content rather than replacing it with new copy. Rankings usually improve, because a faster site with better structure is easier for Google to crawl.
Can you redesign my WordPress site?
We can rebuild it, but not as WordPress. We build on Astro and Cloudflare, which means no plugins to patch, no database to maintain and no monthly hosting bill. You get a site that loads faster and costs less to run. If you need WordPress specifically — because you have a large editorial team, or plugins you cannot replace — we are not the right studio and we will say so.
What happens to my existing content and photos?
We bring it across. Text is reviewed and tightened as part of the rebuild, and existing photography is reused where it is good enough. If images are low resolution or outdated we will tell you, and can source replacements. You are not asked to start from a blank page.
How long does a redesign take?
Usually a week longer than an equivalent new build, because of the migration work. A five-page redesign is typically two weeks from receiving your content. We keep the old site live until the new one is ready, so you are never offline during the switch.
Can you keep the design and just fix the speed?
Sometimes, yes. If the design genuinely works and the problem is the platform, moving it to Cloudflare can be enough — and it is cheaper than a full rebuild. We will tell you honestly if that is the case rather than selling you a redesign you do not need.
Do you redesign ecommerce sites?
For small catalogues, yes. A real store with hundreds of products, complex stock rules and multi-currency pricing is a different scale of project, and honestly hard to do well under £1,000. We will tell you if your store falls into that category rather than taking the work and underdelivering.
